Disney Wedding: The Lion King

Can you feel the love tonight

Straight out of the African savannah, this bride is looking to get closer to her roots. You can’t go wrong with this theme, when your whole philosophy in life is Hakuna Matata. A monochromatic look gives this design an elegant and timeless look. African patterns enriched on neutral colors make a strong statement. I especially appreciate the combination of straight lines with the Ikat pattern on the plates. Certainly unique! The bridesmaids will be super appreciative to wear an Alberta Ferretti dress that is loose-fitting, light, and fresh. More energy for the dance floor, right?

Looking for a memorable moment for your guests? How about integrating an exotic meat or two to your dinner menu? Ostrich or kudu come to mind.

Dear bride, we know you march to the beat of your own drum.  Now is time to have those two hearts BEAT as one, and enjoy your most glorious day!

Disney Wedding: A Whole New World

Disney Fairytale Wedding. Aladdin inspired wedding by Atlanta event planner Injinnyous Moroccan Wedding Arabian Nights Wedding

Just like a mirage in the desert, this bride is a refreshing vision. I used as inspiration for the color palette Jasmine’s dad, the Sultan. Warm complimenting metals are incorporated throughout the design to give this wedding an ultra elegant and glamorous look. Modern caftans for the bridesmaids are a different dress alternative for the bridesmaids. One that they are all going to embrace, as caftans flatter every body type, they are flowy, and super comfortable.

Please note that this is a hard design to execute, moderation is key. It can go from classy and elegant to tacky and trashy in a nano second. In my opinion, some people struggle with when to stop adding elements. If you notice, in both the cake and the table designs the most predominant colors are white and Desert Sand. The metallic elements are used only as accents. That is the way you want to keep it.

I always think of ways to surprise the guests. They might forget many things about your wedding but not a “Ha!” moment. Incorporating a belly dancer somewhere in your special day would be magical. Timing is important though, and something that needs to be carefully planned by your event planner. Some ideas are:

  • During the wedding ceremony (to dance you down the aisle or when the ceremony is over to dance you both out)
  • During cocktail hour
  • Towards the end of dinner (as a transition from dinner to dancing)
  • At the end of the night (to lead guests towards the departure site)

Dear bride, a whole new world awaits for you! It’s time to create the oasis that you deserve.

Wedding Mood Board: Wild Love Fields

yellow rustic wedding mood board wild love fields atlanta event planner

The inspiration for this design was a field of wild flowers. I don’t know what colors you get where you live, but here in Georgia yellow and white are the predominant colors when it comes to wild flowers. I figured a rustic barn setting would be fantastic, since I found those very economical dresses in Asos. The naked cake looks extra beautiful with the yellow flowers contrasting with the actual yellow and orange hues of the cake. The centerpiece was selected to resemble just picked wild flowers. I like that this mood board screams casual and relaxed, but at the same time elegant.

Are you ready to have a heck of a wild time?

Wedding Mood Board: Preppy with a Twist

wedding mood board preppy with a twist atlanta event planner

Designed to blend with the environment, this summer wedding is to take place at a lake. The green and blue hues fuse with the setting for a natural and relaxed look. A Lilly Pulitzer pattern look alike for the cake, stripes to add nautical touches, and a pant wedding gown that resembles a riding horse pant are all elements of a very preppy look. Having the bridesmaids wear both colors and pantsuits is definitely a modern twist to the more traditional look of the bridal party. This bride is modern, chic, and is ready to break the rules to make her big day as unique as it can get.

Don’t let your wedding put you in a twist! Start planning today.

Wedding Mood Board: Fun, Feathers, and Forever

Wedding Mood Board: Fun, Feathers, and Forever by Atlanta event planner Injinnyous.com

Laid back, free spirited, and fun! This bride is confident, independent, and self-expressive.

I love the versatility of this design in terms of venue matching. Because the design has rustic elements combined with blue tones, you can choose to have your event:

  • outside in a garden or a farm
  • an all out rustic venue such as a barn or log type venue
  • an old house or inn with dark wood architectural elements
  • an industrial venue

The overall ambiance is relaxed-chic. The feathers help create the natural and relaxed look and proves that you don’t need flowers to make a long lasting impression for your guests. This event is about being comfortable, having fun, and avoiding above all stuffiness. Go ahead! I dare you to replace the quintessential photo booth with some fun games instead!

Let this event be a feather in your cap.
